Lake, Atwater Earn All-Iowa Conference Honors

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – University of Dubuque men’s basketball seniors TJ Lake and Jamaree Atwater were honored with All-Iowa Conference honors for the 2017-18 season. Lake was voted first team by the IIAC Coaches, while Atwater was named second team.
In route to his first team selection, TJ Lake (Peosta, Iowa) led the Iowa Conference in scoring with 23.4 points per game. Lake also led the Iowa Conference with 3.6 three pointers per game after making 90 in 25 games. Against Loras on January 3rd, Lake exploded for 50 points to break the school record for points in a single game. The 50 point outburst was also the most points in a game by any individual in the Iowa Conference. Lake also averaged two assists per game and 3.3 rebounds per game in the 2017-18 season.
Jamaree Atwater (Moline, Ill.) was named All-Iowa Conference for the second consecutive year. During the 2017-18 campaign, Atwater started all 25 of UD’s games and was second on the team with 17.6 points per game. Atatwer grabbed 146 rebounds over 25 games for a team-high 5.8 per game. The 5.8 rebounds per game put him seventh on the Iowa Conference list. Atwater also dished out 44 assists (1.8 per game), 15 blocks for eighth most in the conference and 12 steals.
