This long-running Off-Broadway absurdist comedy by film and television star Steve Martin places Albert Einstein and Pablo Picasso in a Parisian cafe in 1904, just before the renowned scientist transforms physics and the celebrated painter sets the art world afire. Martin plays it fast and loose with fact, fame, and fortune as these two geniuses muse on the century's achievements and prospects as well as other fanciful topics with infectious dizziness.

Picasso at the Lapin Agile opened at the famous Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago and became one of New York’s most sought after Off-Broadway productions.  The New York Post hailed the show as “Highly credible and ... very funny. The subject matter is daring. ... You get giggles in plenty and moments of enlightenment. ... The introduction of the final, exquisitely selected visitor from the future is a master stroke.”

Picasso at the Lapin Agile is presented by special arrangement with SAMUEL FRENCH, INC.

Tickets for Picasso at the Lapin Agile can be purchased Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Farber Box Office, Heritage Center, University of Dubuque, 2255 Bennett Street; by phone at 563.585.SHOW; or online at www.dbq.edu/heritagecenter.
