Volleyball Wins IIAC Tournament Opener and Advance

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque women's volleyball team advanced into the second round of the 2017 IIAC Volleyball Tournament on Tuesday night after a 3-0 victory over the Coe College Kohawks by set score 25-14, 25-19, 25-18 to improve to 28-6 overall. Plenty of fans were on hand for Halloween and the UD Student Athlete Advisory Committee members were in attendance to give out treats to those enjoying a night of Iowa Conference volleyball.
The victory for #4 seeded Spartans moves them to a rematch with the #1 seed Wartburg College Knights on Friday, Nov. 3 at 7:00 p.m. in the semifinals hosted at U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids. #3 seed Buena Vista won 3-0 over #6 seed Nebraska Wesleyan to advance to Friday's 4:00 p.m. match vs. #2 seed Luther College. Saturday's championship match is at 3:00 p.m. and will be televised by KCRG 9.3, the ABC affiliate in Cedar Rapids.
Semifinal & Championship Tickets: All tickets are General Admission and available at the Box Office Only. Ticket for Friday is valid for both semifinal matches. It is not a separate ticket per session.
