Women's Soccer Hold Lawrence Scoreless in 4-0 Victory

APPLETON, Wis. - The University of Dubuque held the host Lawrence University scoreless on Sunday in a 4-0 Spartan road victory. Lexus Rose led the Spartans with two goals and aided by a goal by Lauren Cangelosi and Elizabeth Kelly with 26 Spartans seeing action on the field.
Offensively the Spartans put up 29 shots with 19 being on goal with Meghan Moorman leading with five shots on goal. UD put up 16 shots in the opening half of action and added 13 in the second half of play. The Spartans led in corner kicks 12-0 as both sides committed six fouls each. In the net, Victoria Roethler made one save in 45 minutes and in relief Paige Dykstra (31:45) and Ireland Hill (13:15) allowed no goals and made no saves on the afternoon as the defense held the hosts to just one shot.
UD will host UW-Oshkosh on Sept. 14 at 7 p.m. and UW-Stevens Point on Sept. 16 at 2 p.m.
