#24 UD Shutout by #3 Loras

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The 24th-ranked University of Dubuque wrestling team fell to the third ranked Loras College Duhawks on Friday night, 48-0.
One of the best matches of the night came early on at 133 between UD’s Brenden Hazelton and Loras’ Mason McMillen. The match was all square at 1-1 entering the third period but a McMillen take down halfway through the third gave him the 3-1 advantage. Hazelton was able to escape, however, he could not manage a take down and ultimately fell by decision, 3-2, suffering his first loss of the season.
At 285, Darryl Aiello took the early lead, earning a take down after a mad scramble and lead 4-2 heading into the final period. Momentum quickly changed in the third, as Aiello was taken down with 55 second remaining in the frame to even it at 4-4 and was eventually pinned with 21 seconds remaining in the third to end the match.
