-The Vikings rattled off three runs over the first and second innings to take the lead at 3-1 through two innings.
-After three scoreless innings, the Spartans stormed back in the fifth. JJ Valenica getting hit by a pitch began a one-out rally, as the Spartans played small ball to plate three runs in the inning and regain the lead at 4-3
-That lead would not last long, as North Park once again answered back with two runs of their own in the bottom half of the frame to regain the lead.
-Daulton Kvenvold came up clutch for the Spartans in the eighth with UD still trailing by one. Kvenvold doubled to left left to score Mitchell Pomeroy from second to tie it at five all.
-However, on the next batter, Kvenvold was thrown out at home on a fielders choice to keep the score tied through 7.5 innings before North Park scored two of their own in the bottom of the eighth for the win.
