Wrestling Dominates Nebraska Wesleyan in Regular Season Finale

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque wrestling team closed out the regular season in impressive fashion, winning nine of 10 matches on their way to a 42-6 win over Nebraska Wesleyan.

Aaron Black set the tone right away for the Spartans at 125, coming away with a first period fall in 2:00. Nebraska Wesleyan answered right back with a first period fall of their own at 133 to make it 6-6, however, that was the final match the Prairie Wolves would win.

UD took the final eight matches, securing bonus points in five of those, to secure the 42-6 victory. Luke Radeke (6:23), Tevin Bailey (5:37) and Terrin Rackouski (1:24), all joined Black with a fall on Saturday morning, while Logan Sears joined by way of a 19-0 technical fall in 4:44.

Up next, the Spartans will take their talents to the NCAA Division III Central Regional, hosted by Loras College at the Five Flags Center in Dubuque, Iowa on Saturday, Feb. 29th and Sunday, Mar. 1.
