Black Alumni Reunion

Plans are well underway for a Black Alumni Reunion during Homecoming Weekend (October 25-28, 2018). And we want to see you there! Our goal is to get as many of our fellow alums together as possible and have the opportunity to visit, reminisce, and celebrate. After a wonderful Homecoming in 2017, we are once again excited to return to our Alma Mater, and we are thrilled to introduce plans for the 2018 Black Alumni Reunion. Below you will find information outlining the events for this reunion along with special initiatives we want to embark on. We are excited about this great time and are ready to welcome you back home.

Friday, October 26

Black Alumni and Black Student Union Networking Social
2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. | Couchman Reading Room, Charles C. Myers Library 
Last year, we enjoyed meeting with the current students of the Black Student Union! We hope you will join us again this year to mix and mingle with current students and alumni. Refreshments will be served. 

Saturday, October 27

Spartan Fest! Alumni and Student Tailgate
11:30 a.m. - 1:45 p.m. | Upper Finely Parking Lot 
Stop by the BSU Tailgate, catch up with fellow alums, past and present members of the Black Student Union, and be sure to participate in all of the Spartan Fest activities organized by the University. We will be having a cookout, so bring your favorite snacks and join in on the fun! If you are interested in helping with the tailgate, please contact Keith Parris (information provided below).

5:30 p.m. | Old Chicago Pizza and Taproom, 3100 Dodge St., Dubuque, IA 52003 (formerly Champps Americana) 
Join us as we gather with fellow Spartans for a great Homecoming Celebration at Old Chicago. This is the perfect opportunity to mingle with our classmates and all UD alums! Enjoy refreshing beverages and tasty food while having a great time at one of our favorite spots.
