Men's Soccer Ends in Draw with UW-Platteville

PLATTEVILLE, WISCONSIN - The University of Dubuque Men's Soccer team continued it's non-conference schedule with another top notch opponent on Wednesday night. The Spartans made the short trip across the Dubuque-Wisconsin Bridge to take on UW-Platteville, the preseason pick to win the WIAC. UD and UWP played a physical game for all 110:00 minutes which ended in a 0-0 tie. Dubuque is now 0-3-1 on the season. 

UD goalkeeper Jose Resendiz (Streamwood, Ill./Streamwood) earned his first shutout as a Spartan. Resendiz recorded four saves in 110:00 minutes of action. 

Junior forward Brandon Wiley (Mannheim, Germany/Mannheim) had the Spartans only shot on goal. Alassane Doukoure (Abidjan, Ivory Coast/Baumholder) finished with a team high two shots as UD was limited to six shots in the contest. 

Dubuque held a 3-1 advantage in corner kicks. The teams combined for 10 yellow cards in the contest.
