He is the author of a new book, America's Climate Century (2013), and has toured Iowa and other states to call upon Americans to make the fight against climate change our new national purpose.  He is touring Iowa colleges and universities this fall, with scheduled stops at the University of Dubuque, University of Iowa, Iowa State University, UNI, Grinnell, St. Ambrose, Upper Iowa, Maharishi University, Wartburg, Central, Coe, and Luther.

This event is part of "Remember Hurricane Sandy" week organized by Iowa Climate Advocates, an all-volunteer association of Iowans concerned about climate change.  From October 22 (the first anniversary of the formation of Hurricane Sandy in the Atlantic) to October 29 (the first anniversary of its landfall in New York City and New Jersey), Iowans across the state are remembering Hurricane Sandy, its victims, and its survivors, and uniting in support of climate action to prevent future disasters.  Other events are scheduled for Iowa City, Fairfield, Des Moines, and Cedar Rapids.  For an updated list of events, visit www.iowaclimateadvocates.org.
