Travis and Kubica Ranked for Spartans

OSWEGO, N.Y. - The NWCA National Rankings were released by the ranking committee on Thursday, November 14, 2013. This is the second set of rankings of the 2013-2014 collegiate wrestling season.
The Spartans have two wrestlers ranked individually. Brian Travis (Jr., St. Petersburg, Fla./Northside Ch.) is ranked third in the 141 lbs. class. Joining him is Joseph Kubica (Jr., Lake Park, Ill./Lake Park) who is ranked 10th in the 165 weight class.
The next NWCA Division III Ranking will be released on Wednesday, November 27, 2013.
The NWCA Division III ranking committee consists of Kevin Bratland (North Central College), Mike Howard (Oswego State), Jon Laudenslager (Wilkes University), Eric Keller (Wartburg College), Mark Hawald (Case Western Reserve University) and Chris Walter (UW - Platteville).
The pair was also ranked in week #2 of D3wrestle.com rankings. Travis was ranked #5 at 141 lbs. while Kubica was #9 at 165 lbs. Joining the pair were Nicholas Rivera (Jr., Mesa, Ariz./Red Mountain)- Honorable Mention at 125 lbs., Eric Powell (So., Lombard, Ill./Montini Catholic) - Contender at 149 lbs., and Derek Mizaur (Sr., Sherrad, Ill./Sherrard)- Contender at 174 lbs.
This week the Spartans travel to Augustana to wrestle Augustana College (Ill.) and Knox College (Ill.) in a double dual beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16 in Rock Island, Ill.
