James and the Giant Peach was the first of Roald Dahl's well-known children's stories. It tells the tale of James Henry Trotter and his horrible aunts – and how some magical crocodile tongues, a peach tree, and a collection of interesting insects conspire to change his life. Adapted into a musical, the story comes to life with innovative puppetry, a jaunty musical score conducted by Dr. Nicholas Bratcher, director of instrumental music at UD, and bright characters that will have you on the edge of your seat.  Appropriate for family audiences and children ages 8 and up.

The performance is approximately 90 minutes in length.

Tickets for James and the Giant Peach are available Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Farber Box Office, Heritage Center, University of Dubuque, 2255 Bennett Street; by phone at 563.585.SHOW; or online at www.dbq.edu/heritagecenter.
