Women's Soccer Ties With North Central 1-1 in 2OT

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Dubuque Spartans women’s soccer team tied North Central College 1-1 after two overtime periods Friday night on the road.
North Central’s Noelia Reyes put the Cardinals ahead in the 16th minute of the game with her first goal of the season. Midway through the second half the Spartans were finally able to get the equalizer from Taryn Spisak, with her first goal of the year, coming on an assist from Bailey Pipras. Both teams had their chances throughout the game to take the lead for good as Dubuque took nine shots on goal, while North Central had 12.
The Spartans next game is Sunday, Sept. 18 at UW-Platteville at 2 p.m. The Spartans next home game is on September 21st against Monmouth College at 7:00 p.m.
