Certificate in Congregational Leadership Curriculum

Curriculum Requirements

The Certificate in Congregational Leadership requires the completion of eight not-for-credit core courses. Additional courses may be completed in addition of the eight required courses.

  • Christian Education
  • Christian Caregiving: For Pastors and Leaders
  • Presbyterian Polity
  • Reformed Theology
  • Reformed Worship and Sacraments

UDTS does not grant certification for lay ministry. Lay ministry is certified through the individual's denomination. Course completion records including a completion certificate may be used by your judicatory, association, or presbytery in your process of becoming a commissioned ruling elder, commissioned pastor, or lay pastor
