Why UDTS?

The University of Dubuque Theological Seminary is a vibrant Christian community that seeks to follow Jesus, walk in the Spirit, and join God's mission. Shaped by faith in the One God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - we engage in teaching, learning, scholarship, and worship to form servant leaders for Christ's church.

UDTS equips you for faithful service. With a love for the Church and 15 years of experience in online learning, we are proud to offer programs for every step of your spiritual journey, including congregational equipping and lay education courses, Master of Arts and Master of Divinity degrees, a Bachelor of Arts in Theology, and a Doctor of Ministry program. At UDTS, our curricular and co-curricular offerings aim to prepare students to meet and pass PC(USA) and UMC ordination standards for service and employment with clergy credentials.

UDTS is the only PC(USA) seminary associated with a larger, private Presbyterian liberal arts college, the University of Dubuque. UDTS is committed to nurturing faithful Christian leaders for the church and ministry, and preparing students to serve wherever God calls.
