Earn a Certificate in Bible and Ministry in the Local Learning Community

The Certificate in Bible and Ministry is designed to equip and prepare members students in the Madison Learning Community in the areas of Bible and ministry. Courses for this certificate are currently offered on-site via the Madison Learning Community, Madison, WI, only, on a three-year rotation. In-person attendance is required for all courses in this certificate program.

Program Requirements
This program requires the completion of six courses, either for-credit graduate-level seminary courses or not-for-credit Congregational Equipping courses, as follows:

Four Bible courses:

  • Old Testament Introduction
  • New Testament Introduction
  • Old Testament Exegesis
  • New Testament Exegesis
    - Other Bible courses may be accepted

Two practical ministry courses:

  • Introduction to Preaching (CEP) or Proclaiming the Word (Seminary)
  • Leading Thriving Congregations
    - Other practical ministry courses may be accepted

Courses for advanced study and personal development may be offered as options in additional to the certificate requirements.
