NEW STUDENT AND PARENT INFORMATION
Parking Permits
Parking permits are available for the academic school year in August. When available, a reminder with instructions will be emailed to your UD email address.
Meal Plan
We want to make sure you are all set for this fall and have your meal plan in place when you move in. The agreement is on your MyUD account, go to your "Students" tab and then choose "Student Accounts". Below is some important info to review before completing it.
- Meal plans are required for all new, first year students living in a traditional residence hall and transfer students assigned to Chalapty Hall. Transfer students that are assigned to Park Village Apartments, University Townhouses, and University Campus Houses are not required to purchase a meal plan.
- The "standard" meal plan, Plan B - 200 meals per semester, is included in your financial aid award, if you're living on campus.
- You can use your meal plan at the Dining Hall, Cyber Cafe, and Wellness Center, all of these places also take cash/credit.
- Changes to your meal plan must be made before the semester begins.
- Meals DO NOT roll over to the next semester.
- If you run out of meals on your meal plan before the semester is over, you can purchase a block of meals.
FINANCIAL AID AND STUDENT ACCOUNT INFORMATION
Throughout the summer your admission counselor and the Financial Aid office will be corresponding with you via phone, UD email, and mail regarding finalizing your financial aid before this fall. Please check-in with your admission counselor about what needs to be finished before you arrive this fall.
PARENTS
To help families with this adjustment, we want to share the 2024 Parent Packet which provides contact names, numbers, and information of individuals on campus. We want and plan to connect with your student, but know that sometimes it helps to have a few more players on the team.
