Dessert Pops a Sweet Mix of Musical Theatre, Pop Songs, and Halloween Themes

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque Division of Fine and Performing Arts will present Dessert Pops at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 25, 2026, in Blades Chapel, Blades Hall.

Free Admission. No ticket required.

Dessert Pops will include an array of musical theatre and pop songs along with some Halloween pieces such as "Sally's Song" from The Nightmare Before Christmas and "Flowers" from Hadestown. The UD Concert Choir will conclude Dessert Pops with the "Prologue" from Sweeney Todd.

The performance will be under the direction of Kristen Eby, MM, head of the Division of Fine and Performing Arts, director of choral activities, and associate professor of music.

"We are very excited about Dessert Pops this year," Eby said. "We have a wonderful lineup of talented soloists and ensembles."

A variety of desserts will be served during this special music benefit that will support the UD's choir program. Freewill donations will be accepted.

Dessert Pops is free and open to the public. No ticket is required.
