The University of Dubuque Women's Basketball team went cold from beyond the arc in a 70-58 road loss to Buena Vista. UD led 31-29 at the half. Dubuque is now 15-7 overall and 5-6 in the Iowa Conference.

The University of Dubuque Fine and Performing Arts Department, the UD Drama Club, and the Black Student Union (BSU) proudly present: Flyin’ West as its spring 2013 production. Written by Pearl Cleage, the show is produced by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc., New York. The show begins each evening February 21, 22, and 23 at 7:30 p.m. in Alumni Hall on the University of Dubuque campus.

The University of Dubuque Women's Basketball team tied a school record for wins in a season with their 16th win on Saturday afternoon. The Spartans 66-43 victory over Central College was the 12th straight overall win and 13th consecutive win at home versus the Dutch.
Spartans Two Games Out of IIAC Lead

The University of Dubuque men's basketball team needed to win Saturday to keep within two games of the IIAC lead with just two games remaining in the regular season. Saturday the Spartans captured their 17th win of the season with a 69-50 victory over the Central Dutch.

On Saturday, February 23, the University of Dubuque will host "Iowa College Goal Sunday." The event, held at organizations throughout the state during the week of February 16 – 24, is part of the national College Goal SundaySM program, offering free assistance to Iowa students and families with forms required for federal financial aid. UD is one of 34 sites across Iowa to host this financial aid event.

The University of Dubuque Wrestling team honored UD alumnus Jim Fox with the 2013 Jim Fox Open on February 16th. The Spartans crowned three champions including Andrew Burr (133 lbs), Adrian Collier (141 lbs), and Kyle Fredette (285 lbs).

The University of Dubuque Women’s Basketball team earned the three seed in the upcoming Iowa Conference Tournament with a 60-51 win over Loras College on Saturday afternoon inside Stoltz Sports Center. UD shot 57.1% (12-21) from the field in the second half to break a 23-23 tie at halftime.

Spartans Host IIAC Men's Basketball Tournament Championship

The University of Dubuque men's basketball team learned late Friday night, they would be hosting the 2013 IIAC Tournament Championship for the first time in school history. The #3-seeded Spartans upset #2-seeded Buena Vista in Storm Lake by a score of 64-61. UD swept the BVU Beavers during both contests in Storm Lake this season.
