UD to Host First Annual Celebration of Student Scholarship and Creativity

On Thursday, April 18, the University of Dubuque will host Apex: The First Annual Celebration of Student Scholarship and Creativity. The event will be held in the University Science Center's Atrium and Zucker Auditorium, beginning at 10:00 a.m. The event is free and open to the public.

University of Dubuque Music Faculty Member, Dr. Charles Barland, Invited to Perform Organ Recitals in Europe and U.S.

University of Dubuque music professor and University Organist, Dr. Charles Barland, is currently engaged in a year of performances that span from California to the United Kingdom. A member of the University of Dubuque's faculty since 2002, Dr. Barland was recently invited to perform solo organ recitals in Northern Ireland, Scotland, Massachusetts, Wisconsin, Iowa, and California.

Teacher Education Program Receives Continued Accreditation

The University of Dubuque Teacher Education Program has received formal approval of continued accreditation by the Iowa Board of Education. The board made the approval at their March 28, 2013 meeting in Des Moines.

UD Slates Inaugural Exhibit for Heritage Center's Bisignano Art Gallery

UD Fine and Performing Arts Department to Present A Midsummer Night's Dream

The University of Dubuque Fine and Performing Arts Department and the UD Drama Club proudly present William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. The show begins each evening April 25, 26, and 27 at 7:30 p.m., with matinee performances April 27 and 28 at 2:00 p.m. in the Babka Theatre in the University's new Heritage Center.

Spartans Split with Duhawks

The University of Dubuque Baseball team split with rival Loras College on Tuesday afternoon at Petrakis Park. The Spartans took Game 2, 4-0 behind a strong pitching performance by Max Nank. UD lost Game 1, 1-0 on a bases loaded walk-off single.

University of Dubuque Fine and Performing Arts Department Announces Spring Choir Concerts

The University of Dubuque Fine And Performing Arts Department will present three spring concerts by the University's Concert Choir and Chamber Singers over the weekend of April 19, 2013. The Concert Choir will perform on Friday, April 19 and the Chamber Singers on Saturday, April 20 in Blades Chapel on the University of Dubuque Campus; both concerts begin at 7:00 p.m. The Concert Choir will perform an encore concert on Sunday, April 21 at Queen of the Rosary Chapel, 282 County Road Z, Sinsinawa, WI at 3:00 p.m.

Baseball Schedule Changes

The University of Dubuque Baseball game against Luther College scheduled for Friday, April 19th has been postponed to Sunday, April 21st due to field conditions from the rain over the past two days. There is no change to Saturday's doubleheader.

UD Men's Soccer Summer Camp

Women’s Tennis Sets Wins Record

The University of Dubuque Women’s Tennis team set a new school record on Thursday night with their seventh win of the season. The Spartans also improved to 3-1 in the spring season with the 5-3 win over Knox College.
