The University of Dubuque Men's and Women's Track & Field teams each took first place at the 2013 University of Dubuque Open. The Men's team dominated with 237 team points, 141 points better than second place Cornell. The Women's team won with 166 points. Combined the two squads won 11 events.

Spartans Split on Senior Day

The University of Dubuque Baseball team honored its 13 seniors between games against Luther College (9-13, 5-9) on Saturday afternoon. The Spartans took Game 1 2-0 behind a masterpiece on the mound by Spencer Kuehn. Kuehn struck out seven hitters and allowed only one hit. Dubuque lost the second game, 9-2.
Spartans Swept on Senior Day

The University of Dubuque softball team was looking to wrap up an automatic bid into the 2013 IIAC Tournament on Senior Day, but it was the visiting Buena Vista University Beavers which kept their hopes alive by taking both games on Saturday.
Eastman Throws Shutout in Game 1, Spartans Split Luther Series

The University of Dubuque Baseball team continued its push towards a conference tournament bid by taking two of four games from Luther College (10-14, 6-10) over the weekend. The Spartans won the first game on Sunday 1-0 with Josh Eastman throwing a complete game, two hit shutout. UD lost the final game of the series, 9-4.

Spartans Lose to Trine

The University of Dubuque Women's Lacrosse team lost, 20-4, to Trine University on Monday afternoon at the Rock Bowl. The Spartans scored three straight goals in the first half as they trailed 11-3 at the half. Judy Borah had a hand in all four goals with two goals and two assists.
Spartans Lose to Norse

The University of Dubuque men's tennis team lost their final regular season match of the year on Tuesday afternoon by a 0-9 score to the Luther College Norse. Despite the score, the match was much closer than it appears. The Spartans lost three singles matches in a third tie break set.

The University of Dubuque Track & Field program will be represented at the 2013 Drake Relays presented by Hy-Vee. On the women’s side, the 4x100 and 4x200 Relay teams will be completing. The Men’s 4x200 team will also be taking part in the 104th edition of America’s Athletic Classic. Nearly 8,000 track and field athletes will be competing in 111 events over the course of six days.
