UD Basketball - LIVE on KCRG 9.2

DUBUQUE, IOWA - The University of Dubuque Men's and Women's Basketball doubleheader against Simpson College will air LIVE on KCRG 9.2 on Wednesday, January 29th. The games are a part of an ongoing agreement between the Iowa Conference (IIAC) and the Cedar Rapids Television Company (CRTC) to televise IIAC games live. KCRG 9.2 is a digital subchannel of KCRG-TV9, the ABC affiliate in Eastern Iowa which is owned by CRTC. The women's game tips off at 6:00 pm with the men to follow at approximately 8:00 pm.

The women's game features the conferences top scoring team in Dubuque and the number two scoring defense team in Simpson. UD and Simpson are also 1-2 in scoring margin with the Spartans first at +10.9 and Simpson second at +9.9. The Spartans and Storm are also 1-2 in field goal defense with UD hold its opposition to an IIAC best 35.7% shooting percentage while Simpson in second at 36.5% and steals with UD at 222 and Simpson at 205. The teams are also tied for first in blocked shots at 85 (5.0 per game).
The men's game will be full of scoring with UD averaging 81.2 points per game and Simpson averaging 78.5 ppg, good for second and third in the IIAC. The preseason coaches poll favorite Spartans lead the league in scoring margin (+11.1), free throws made (329), three-point field goal defense (27.8%), steals (116), turnover margin (+2.71), and home attendance (5,950).
