The University of Dubuque will host a campus Health and Wellness Fair with participation from over 30 area businesses, organizations, and vendors.  The event is free and open to the public.

The Fair’s intent is to raise awareness regarding intellectual, vocational, emotional, spiritual, physical, social, environmental, and cultural well-being.  A wide variety of organizations will be on hand to educate and motivate attendees on the many diverse aspects of wellness, as a means of improving their well-being in everyday life.  During the Fair a 3K walk will be held to raise awareness to Domestic Abuse and Sexual Assault.

The Art Display by students in the University’s Computer Graphics and Interactive Media Department, is intended to bring awareness to relationship abuse on college campuses by creating a visual statement in the form of a poster. By focusing on the problem and taking a tough stand, a visual advocacy poster CAN make a visible difference.  This exhibit was inspired by the death of University of Dubuque’s Dean of Admission, Jesse James’ daughter Holley by the hands of her husband in 2008 and the 1964 manifesto “First Things First” where 22 graphic designers signed the call for skills to be put to worthwhile use.
