Men's Golf 9th After Opening Day of IWU Invite

NORMAL, Ill. - The University of Dubuque men's golf team ended the opening day of the 2016 Illinois Wesleyan University Invite in ninth place with a team score of 304 in the 21 team tournament. The Spartans are within striking distance of the leaders, Parkland College, who shot the best opening round of 294.
UD finished day one with two Spartans battling in the Top-10 overall with Troy Krueger shooting an opening round of 72 (tied for 4th overall) and Cameron Shere who shot a round of 73 (tied for 6th overall). Windy and cold conditions held many scores above Par and the conditions for the final round on Saturday doesn't look much better.
