2016 Augustana College Men's Golf Invitational Final Results
MILAN/SHERRAD, Ill. - The University of Dubuque men's golf battled less than ideal conditions on Friday in the opening round of the Augustana College Invitational held at Pinnacle Country Club. The Spartans hit their way back on Saturday to place 19th with a team score of 349-317-666.
Chance Manternach led the Spartans opening round with a score of 83 on the Par 72, 6,877 yard course. Cameron Shere finished with an 85 and is tied for 61st place overall. Tyler Engelken finished with a 90, Troy Krueger shot a 91, and Anders Haukoos finished with a 96.
The Spartans fought their way back to finish 19th on Saturday after shooting a 317 in their final round held at Fyre Lake National in Sherrad, Ill. Shere tied for 62nd overall after firing a 79 in round two to finish with a 164. Manternach was tied for 69th after a 165, Krueger had a 168, Haukoos and Engelken both shot a 175.
The Spartans also had three individuals compete with Lane Hawkins shooting a 83, Nathaniel Jackson carded a 94 and Cameron Uppmann a 104 on Friday. Saturday the trio all improved. Hawkins had the lowest score of the weekend and tied for 37th overall after carding a 160. Jackson had a 178 and Uppmann a 185.
The Spartans will continue weekend play at the Loras College Spring Invite on Sunday, April 10 and 11 at Thunder Hills Country Club in Peosta, Iowa
