Wrestling Lose on the Road to #21 Coe

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The University of Dubuque wrestling team for the second match in a row faced the #21-ranked team in the country, this week it was the Coe College Kohawks. UD fell behind early after the host Kohawks captured 6-7 of the opening matches after starting the Iowa Conference Dual at 165 lbs. Coe won the meet 32-12 over the Spartans.

Ethan Cain (184 lbs.) put the first points on the scoreboard after edging out his opponent 15-14 to collect the decision.

Jeremy Melendez won by a fall in the first period over the Kohawks Sam Uthoff in 2:40 at 141 lbs. Mr. Consistent, Quincy Kalkbrenner remained unbeaten this season at 157 lbs. with a decision 12-5 over Coe's Cody Fritz.
