AURORA, Ill. - The Spartans men's soccer team suffered a hard fought defeat on Sunday afternoon, after Aurora scored on a late penalty kick in the 80th minute to drop the Spartans 3-2.

How it Happened
-Aurora wasted no time, scoring on the first shot from either team in the 3rd minute
-Chris Rigby attmpted UD's first shot in the 14th minute but it sailed wide of the net
-After a foul in the box, Aurora converted on a PK in the 16th minute to go ahead 2-0
-The Spartans cranked up the attack in the second half, firing off four shots in the first 15 minutes of the second half before getting a lucky bounce and scoring off of an own goal to make it a 2-1 game.
-After a yellow card was given to an Aurora player in the 77th minute, Chris Rigby sent a free kick into the back of the net to even the game at 2-2
-Just four minutes later, UD's Patrick Regal was given a red card after a foul in the box and Aurora converted on another penalty kick to take the lead again
-UD outshot Aurora 18-14
