Men's Golf Fourth in 2018 IIAC Championships

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Saturday afternoon UD finished the 2018 Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships with a fourth place finish after shooting rounds of Dubuque 321 302 304 293 1220 +68.
UD was led by third place finisher Jordan Elliott, who shot the lowest round overall on Saturday with a four under par 68! His four rounds were 78-76-75-68 (297) over the four days of the championships. Anthony Mendoza finished tied for 12th with a score of 303, Mendoza shot rounds of 78-74-74-77.
"Proud of my freshmen today who shot the best round of the day at 293," said coach Dustin Bierman. "We finished in 4th place and were just two shots back of 3rd place. I'm really proud of Jordan, who had five birdies and an eagle in his final round to finish with All-Iowa Conference honors."
These underclassmen and all freshmen, have set the bar high for the next three years for the Spartans and we anticipate many great things in the future.
