Men's Golf Win Knox College Jim Wetherbee Memorial Invite

GALESBURG, Ill. - The University of Dubuque men's golf team battled through the "March Lion" conditions as they claimed their first title in 2018. UD bested 18 teams to claim the title after finishing with rounds of 303 and 314 (617) and winning by two strokes. The Spartans were led by Anthony Mendoza who shot equal rounds of 76-76 (152) to tie for fourth place overall. Top-10 finishers included Brady Ellis 78-75 (153) placed seventh and Jordan Elliott 74-81 (155) and Collin Laundrie 76-79 (155) who both tied for ninth.
“Very proud of this team, they battled some tough conditions and showed a lot of toughness today," said head coach Dustin Bierman. "Need to continue to get better and we still left some shots out there around the greens. It’s definitely a great way to start the season!"
