Men's Soccer Dominate Kohawks

DUBUQUE, Iowa – The University of Dubuque men’s soccer team fired off 36 shots in route to a convincing 3-0 victory over the Coe College Kohawks on Senior Day.

How It Happened
-The game began an hour behind schedule after lightning was spotted in the area
-After a slow first five minutes, the Spartans cranked up the offense with Chris Rigby firing the first of many shots for UD. UD took eight shots before Coe took their first one in the 21st minute
-The Spartans got on the board when Ivan Sanchez sent a low cross pass into the box and the Coe goalie dove to try to cut it off but got by him to find Edvin Loefgren, who tapped it in.
-UD’s second goal came off of a beautifully lofted free kick by Dominik Cheece and Noah Clarke headed it in for a 2-0 lead right before halftime
-The Spartans attack did not let up in the second half, pelting the Kohawks with 21 shots in the second half alone.
