Men's Tennis Fall to Knights 3-6

BOX SCORE vs Wartburg

WAVERLY, Iowa - The University of Dubuque men's tennis team was forced indoors on Tuesday night as mother nature once again won the battle outside with a rare April snowstorm dropping five inches of snow in the Waverly area. The match was completed in the warm confines of the W as the host Knights would take the match 6-3 over the Spartans.

The Knights jumped to an early 3-0 lead after capturing all three doubles matches. The Spartans fought back and would win #2 singles when Juan Quiroga won 6-0, 6-3. Ranfer Hernandez won #3 doubles 6-2, 6-2 and Zebulon Hill won #5 singles 6-1, 6-3. 

Weather has changed upcoming schedule as well. The Spartans will still travel to play at Luther on Saturday, April 7 at 10:00 a.m., match will be played indoors after the Norse received over seven inches of snow on Tuesday. Moving the match indoors would force the cancellation of the match vs. Carleton later in the day.
