Spartans Third and Sixth at Wartburg Select

2018 Wartburg Indoor Select 

WAVERLY, Iowa - The University of Dubuque women's track and field team placed third at the Wartburg Select on Saturday and the men's team finished sixth. 

Individually for the Spartan women's team Brittany Burks won the finals of the 60m hurdles in :09.12, women's 4x200m relay (Ruby Williams, Aleyha Slatter, Tierra Hildebrandt, and Alison Beeman) won in 1:48.07, Jenna Heimark won triple jump (10.81m/35'-5.75"), and Tanasha Atwater won shot put (13.67m/44"-10.25"). The men's team was led by Jeremiah Steed who won the 200m dash in :22.58, Colfay Pointer (:49.50) won 400m dash, Alec Bass (8:35.32) won the 3,000m run, and Blaze Murfin (16.78m/55'-00.75") placed first in the shot put,
