Two Spartans Men's Soccer Named to All-North/Central Region Teams

DUBUQUE, Iowa – Two University of Dubuque men’s soccer players were picked to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III All-North Region Teams. Chris Rigby was selected First Team All-North Region and Kyle Klatka was named to the third team.

Chris Rigby, a sophomore from Algonquin, Illinois, started 16 of the 17 games he played in. To earn First Team All-North Region honors, Rigby tallied nine points with three goals and three assists during the regular season. His three goals, three assists and nine points were tied for second most in each of those categories for the Spartans. Rigby was third in Iowa Conference with 72 shots and 4.24 shots per game.

Kyle Klatka (Lake in the Hills, Ill.) started all 17 of the Spartans games during his senior season and Third Team All-North Region campaign. As a defender, Klatka took 15 shots shots during the season; however five of them were shots on goal and four of them resulted in goals, two of which were game winners. The Spartan defense helped the Spartan offense outscore opponents this season 28-22 and outshoot opponents 273-228.
