ST. PETER, Minn. – The University of Dubuque women’s tennis team is in St. Peter, Minnesota as Gustavus Adolphus College hosts the 2017 ITA Midwest Regional Championships.

The tournament runs from Friday, September 22 through Sunday, September 24 and will feature 30 of the top teams in the region at eight sites throughout St. Peter and Mankato. Out of the 30 teams, six are from the Iowa Conference.

The singles and doubles champions from the ITA Regional Championships will advance to the ITA National Small College Championships. The ITA National Small College Championships are comprised of the eight regional champions (and/or at-large selections) from NCAA Divisions II and III, NAIA, and junior/community colleges. Over 8,000 student-athletes from NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA, Junior and Community Colleges compete at one of the 84 USTA/ITA Regional Championships held across the country.

Arantxa Martinez earned a top eight seed with her play and has a bye into the third round of the ITA singles tournament. She is also teaming up with Madeline Parker in the Gustie Invite Draw #1 bracket. Also participating in Gustie Invite doubles but in the fourth bracket is Ashley Palacios and Megan Ranney. Palacios, Ranney, Naomi Amani and Madeline Parker are in singles play in the Gustie Fall Invite and in brackets three, six, seven and eight, respectively. Click on the links at the top of the page for updates throughout the weekend.
