Andresen Garners CoSIDA Academic All-District Recognition

GREENWOOD, Ind. – University of Dubuque junior and volleyball middle hitter, Rylee Andresen, was honored for her work on the court and in the classroom by CoSIDA, being named First Team Academic All-District.

To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must be a starter or key reserve player for their respective teams, participated in at least 50-percent of the team's contests, accomplished a 3.30 or better cumulative grade point average, and has reached sophomore athletic and academic standing and have attended at least one calendar year at their current institution.

Andresen a human health science major from Oxford Junction, Iowa, played in 107 of UD’s 121 sets in 2018, being dominant on the front line for the Spartans. Andresen recorded 89 blocks, the fourth most in the conference. Of the 89 blocks, 38 were solo and 51 were assists for a set average of .83. On offense, she finished the season with the fifth best hitting percentage of anyone in the conference at .257. Andresen totaled 246 kills on 637 attempts with just 82 errors mixed in.
