Bass Set To Run At NCAA Championships

WINNECONNE, Wis. – UD senior Alec Bass will be the lone Spartan to run at the 2018 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships on Saturday. Bass’ quest to become an All-American will begin at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday at the Lake Breeze Golf Club.

A sixth place finish at the Central Regional last Saturday earned Bass an automatic bid. In his last appearance at the Division III Cross Country Championships in 2016 as a junior, Bass finished 30th, becoming the first runner in program history to earn All-American honors. Bass will run up against 279 other runners at the championships, 32 teams of seven and 55 other individual qualifiers 

The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh is hosting the championships Nov. 17 at the Lake Breeze Golf Club in Winneconne, Wisconsin. The women’s race will begin at 11:15 a.m., followed by the men’s race at 12:15 p.m.

10:50 a.m. - National Anthem
11:15 a.m. - Women's 6,000-Meter Race
12:15 p.m. - Men's 8,000-Meter Race
2:30 p.m. - Awards Ceremony (Kolf Sports Center)
