Men's Golf Climbs the Leaderboard on Saturday

GALENA, Ill. - After struggling in the opening day of the DIII Midwest Region Classic on Friday, The University of Dubuque men's golf team got hot on Saturday, shooting a 302 on the day to move 10 spots up the leaderboard and finish sixth out of 32 teams.
Three individuals finished in the top 30 of 176 golfers with four shooting in the 70's on Saturday. Kane Hyde finished died for 22nd after posting rounds of 80 and 75 for a 155. Anthony Mendoza fired a 76 on Saturday to finish with a 156 and tied for 26th and Brady Ellis rounded out the top 30 tied for 29th after shooting a blistering 75 in round two to make up for his 82 in round one.
The Spartans return to the course next Saturday for the Clarke College Invite.
