Men's Golf Finish Sixth at Knox College Jim Wetherbee Invite

GALESBURG, Ill. - After sitting in fifth after the opening round on Friday, the University of Dubuque men's golf team dropped one spot on Saturday to finish sixth overall and fifth out of D3 competition. The second Spartan team tied for 13th place out of 20 teams.
On a windy day two of the tournament, Garvin Paper was the lone Spartan to shoot better than their Friday score but it would not affect the Spartans in the team standings. Jordan Elliot led all Spartans on the weekend, shooting a 10+ 154 to tie for 14 place out of 117 individual golfers. Paper finished just two strokes back at +12 to finish tied for 21st. Brady Ellis picked up a tie for 27th after shooting 77 and 80 for a 157, +13.

The Spartans continue their spring season on April 7-8 at the Loras College Spring Invite at Thunder Hills Country Club in Peosta, Iowa.
