2019 Illinois College Blueboy Invite
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - The University of Dubuque men's golf team finished second after firing rounds of 312-306 (616) just 16 strokes behind the winner on Saturday at the 2019 Illinois College Blueboy Invite held at The Rail Golf Course in Springfield, Ill. Eleven teams competed with 72 competitors on the challenging course on Easter Weekend.
Peyton Keeffer tied for medalist honors after shooting rounds of 73-76 (149). Brady Ellis (81-73) and Jordan Elliott (78-76) would both tie for 10th place finish with a final score of 154. Individual Connor Michels shot rounds of 82-76 (158) to finish tied for 20th overall.
Next weekend the Spartans begin the first round of the 2019 American Rivers Conference Men's Golf Championship on Friday, April 26 at Finkbine Golf Course in Iowa City. The second round continues on Saturday, Apri 27 at 10 a.m. The final two rounds to dtermine teh championship will be played at Hillcrest County Club in Lincoln, Neb. on May 3-4.
