Men's Golf Start Busy Weekend with Eighth Place Finish at Augie

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - The University of Dubuque men's golf team begins a busy schedule heading into Easter break. The Spartans finished eighth with a team score of 632 in the Augustana College Invitational held at Highland Springs Golf Course on April 12-13. UD struggles in the opening day and shot a 328 only to rally back in the final day to shoot the fifth lowest score of the day by carding a 304.
The Spartans were led by Brady Ellis who fired a 155 for the weekend to finish tied for 19th. Jason Sikkema shot the low score of the individual by shooting a round of 156 to tie for 24th overall.
The schedule continues with the Nebrasks Wesleyan Invitational on April 14 at Wilderness Ridge and April 15 at Hillcrest Country Club in Lincoln, Neb. The Spartans then travel to Springfield Ill. to play in the Illinois College Blueboy Invite on April 19-20 at The Rail Golf Course.
