2019 NCAA Lower Midwest Regional Final Results

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque wrestling team finished the NCAA Division III Lower Midwest Regional with four place winners and will send Tevin Bailey (So., Reno, Nev./Damonte Ranch H.S.) to the 2019 NCAA National Championships, after he lost in the championship regional finals by a 10-4 margin. Bailey advanced into the finals after he rode out Cornell College's Bryce Oveson, to earn the riding time point for a 2-1 victory. The top-three place winners advanced to the 2019 National Championships held in Roanoke, Va. on March 8-9, 2019.

The regional hosted 17 teams: Augustana College, Buena Vista University, Central College, Coe College, Cornell College, University of Dubuque, Huntingdon College, Loras College, Luther College, MacMurray College, Milikin University, Nebraska Wesleyan University, North Central College, University of the Ozarks, Simpson College, Wartburg College and Westminster College.

UD finished in 10th place of the team standings with 54.5 points. Six American Rivers Conference Teams would finish in the Top-10 of the NCAA Lower Midwest Regional. Individually the A-R-C advanced 23 of the possible 30 qualifiers to the national championships.

157 lbs. - Jessy Diaz (6th) - Rafael Roman (North Central (IL) 4-2, So. over Jessy Diaz (Dubuque) 3-3, So. (MD 10-2)

165 lbs. - Zarik Anderson (8th) - Danny Harris (North Central (IL)) 3-2, Sr. over Zarik Anderson (Dubuque) 20-19, So. (SV-1 11-9)

184 lbs. - Tevin Bailey - (2nd) - Cody Baldridge (North Central (IL)) 4-0, Fr. over Tevin Bailey (Dubuque) 3-3, So. (Dec 10-4)
