Spartans Put Four in Finals at UW-Platteville Super 8 Invite

 

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. - The University of Dubuque wrestling team competed on Saturday at the UW-Platteville Super 8 Wrestling Invitational. UD was led by a quad of Spartans who battled their way to the championships match in their weight classes. Logan Sears lost a decision to Will Britain of U of Chicago 10-3 to place second at 165 lbs. Kevin Royce placed second at 184 lbs. after losing in a major decision 10-1 to Loras' Javier Solo. Ethan Cain lost a narrow victory 10-9 to Loras' Guy Patron Jr. At 285 lbs., Robert Melise lost by a fall in finals to UW-Platteville's Lucius Rinehart to finish second.
