UD Posts Solid Showing at 2019 UD Spartan Invite

DUBUQUE, Iowa – The University of Dubuque track and field team won five events on Friday night at the 2019 UD Spartan Invite, leading to a second place finish for the women’s team and a third place finish for the UD men.
This was the final tuneup for the Spartans as they head to the The American Rivers Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships next weekend. The A-R-C Championships will be hosted by Wartburg College on Feb. 22-23 in Waverly, Iowa. The Spartan men's team will be looking for a three-peat when competition begins.

Blaze Murfin went to the University of Wisconsin Badger Red and White Classic to compete on Friday against Division I competition in the weight throw and shot put. Murfin finished second in the weight throw with a toss of 20.39m (66-10.75) and sixth in the shot with a throw of 16.88m (55-4.75).
