University of Dubuque SGA to Hold Candlelight Vigil

DUBUQUE, Iowa – University of Dubuque Student Government Association will hold a Candlelight Vigil on Tuesday, April 23, from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. on The Quad. Rain location is Blades Chapel.
The vigil is free and open to the public.
After a series of tragedies throughout the world, SGA decided to hold a vigil to provide an opportunity for the community to gather, remember, and honor those who have lost their lives to suicide, natural causes, war, or other catastrophes.
“We will stand in solidarity and send the message of hope, community, and support even through the darkest times,” said Evelin Ortiz, SGA vice president.
