Volleyball Captures Win in Final A-R-C Regular Season Match

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque women's volleyball team finished the regular season of the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) with a 3-1 road victory over the Loras College Duhawks on Wednesday night. UD finished the conference season with a 6-2 record and earned the #2 seed in next week's A-R-C Tournament and will have a first round bye. The Spartans will host the winner of the #3/#6 seed match on Thursday, Nov. 1. The winner of the 2018 A-R-C Tournament will receive the automatic bid to the 2018 NCAA Division III National Championships.
UD ended the night hitting .220 and were led by Kara Wright who led both teams with 27 kills in 66 attacks (.379 hitting percentage). Rylee Andresen and Sarrah Farraday both finished with eight kills. Kate Messino collected 47 set assists and had 16 defensive digs. Grace Strawser served two of UD's five ace serves and led with 20 digs. Jenna Runde had 18 digs, Messino 16, and Johanna Steggall with 14 digs.
