Women's Basketball Lose to UW-Whitewater on the Road

STEVENS POINT, Wis. - The University of Dubuque women's basketball faced a tough WIAC opponent when they tipped off with the UW-Whitewater Warhawks at the UW-Stevens Point Tournament on Saturday, Nov. 17. The Spartans lost 47-73, but were led by Sydney Hazuga who finished with 14 points.

Kia Dwight would be the Spartans only other double digit scorer with 12 points, 10 student-athletes would score in the loss with 13 seeing action. McKenzie Maahs led UD with six rebounds. 

The Spartans will travel to face Carleton College in Northfield, Minn. on Tuesday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. UD will enjoy a short Thanksgiving break before retuning to action in the American Rivers Conference opener on Nov. 28 vs. the Loras College Duhawks at 6 p.m. on Jon Davison Court in Stoltz Sports Center.
