Women's Lacrosse Downed by UW-River Falls

RIVER FALLS, Wis. - The University of Dubuque women's lacrosse team travelled north on Tuesday and lost to UW-River Falls by a 1-18 score. UD's Kori King scored the lone goal at the 18 minute mark to cut the lead to 5-1. The hosts would go on a 13-0 run to end the match.
UD was out shot 4-39 in the loss. King and sara Rose each finished with two shots. Kaley Weir collected six of the Spartans 14 ground balls and in the net she stopped 14 shots from UW-River Falls. UD won four draw controls in the first half and six in the second half. UD was 7-17 in clears and was forced into committing 36 turnovers by UW-River Falls defense.
UD will wrap up their regular season by travelling to Bloomington, Ill. for their next match against Illinois Wesleyan University on April 27 at 1 p.m.
