Women's Tennis Cruise in Win Over Knox
Sep 5, 2018
DUBUQUE, Iowa - The rain forced the University of Dubuque women's tennis team inside on Wednesday afternoon, but it did not slow them down as they Spartans cruised to an 8-1 victory over the Knox College Prairie Fire.
Despite getting defaults in one singles and one doubles match, the Spartans still won six of seven matches on the day. Ashley Palacios-Quinonez, Madeline Parker and Megan Ranney all picked up two wins on the day.
"Today was a good win for the women's tennis team," added head coach Dishon Deering. "These non-conference matches are crucial to our preparations for the upcoming American Rivers Conference schedule. We are off to a great start as a program and we are ready to begin conference play this weekend."
The Spartans begin American Rivers Conference action on Saturday when they host Coe College at 9:00 a.m.
