vs. Concordia Chicago
How It Happened

-Friday morning’s game was the polar opposite of Thursday night’s game against Ashland as it took until the fourth inning for someone to score and it was the Spartans to score first. After reaching on a fielder’s choice, Justin Jensen stole second, advanced to third on a Mitchell groundout and scored on a fielding error.
-The UD pitching shut down the Cougars, not allowing more than one base runner until the sixth inning but left two on base to keep the lead at 1-0.
-The lead was still 1-0 heading into the ninth, where UD closer Derek Hardin made things interesting. The Cougars loaded the bases with two out but Hardin induced a ground ball to the third baseman to get out of the jam and secure his third save.
