Busy Weekend for Men's Soccer

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque's Oyen Field will be the center of action this weekend, Sept. 7-8 when the Spartans host the Elmhurst College Bluejays and the College of St. Scholastica with both games at 3:30 p.m.
Saturday's contest against Elmhurst would be scoreless until the 71 minute mark. Off a free kick, Matt Conti would sneak one in off an assist by Oliver Saile. The Spartans missed a few one on one chances inside the box and some key opportunities by banging the ball off the post. UD would out shoot the Bluejays 12-8 and led in corner kicks 7-4.
The Spartans (2-1 overall) will be looking to spread the ball around the field and find the open attack when play continues on Sunday afternoon against the College of St. Scholatica Saints (0-3 overall).
